Stolen Gun from Georgia Recovered in Car in Grocery Store Parking Lot in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — ShopRite Security reported misuse of debit cards at their 8 Joyce Road location in New Rochelle on Saturday afternoon, leading to the arrest of four suspects and the recovery a handgun reported stolen in Georgia.

New Rochelle police officers located the vehicle in which the suspects had arrived in the ShopRite parking lot. A loaded Kel-Tec 9 mm handgun, stolen out of Georgia as well as several additional credit cards were recovered from inside the vehicle.

Ryan Byron O’Neil, 18, of the Bronx, NY and Nickholas S. Lewis, 18, of the Bronx, NY were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession Stolen Property 4th Degree.

A Male Juvenile, 17, was booked for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and False Personation.

“Due to “Raise the Age” laws, the 17-year-old suspect was charged as a Juvenile Delinquent, and will be adjudicated through Family Court.”

A Male Juvenile, 15, of the Bronx, NY was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree.
