Westchester County Police Department Marine Unit Frees Stuck Boat from Rye Playland Beach

Written By: Robert Cox

RYE, NY — A boat became stuck on the beach at Rye Playland Sunday. Weather conditions pushed the boat onto the beach and prevented commercial services from responding.

The Westchester County Police Department Marine Unit, working with patrol officers on shore, were able to free the vessel, get the boat back into the water and tow it back to Mamaroneck Harbor.
