New Rochelle Man Slashed in Face During Attempted Robbery Near Montefiore Hospital

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A 48-year-old male walked into the Emergency Room at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital at about 2 p.m. this afternoon having sustained a slash wound to his face.

The man told police he was accosted by an unknown male as he was entering his property on Badeau Place. A struggle ensued as the suspect attempted to grab the victim’s wallet. The suspect then pushed the victim and slashed him across the right side of his face with an unknown object.

The suspect, who fled the area on foot, is described as a male white or Hispanic, medium build wearing light blue jeans, sneakers, a camouflage jacket with a blue hoodie underneath.
