New Rochelle Man Arrested Following Random, Violent Assaults Posts $50,000 Bond

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Yousef Alomari, 34, of New Rochelle was released last night from the Westchester County Jail after he posted a $50,000 bond.

Alomari was booked for Assault 2nd after he appeared at police headquarters on November 1st at about 10:45 a.m. Sunday morning and surrendered following what police are calling a pair of “random violent assaults”. He was arraigned on November 2nd, Judge Jared R. Rice set bail at $25,000 cash and $50,000 bond. Alomari was remanded to the Westchester County Jail on November 2nd.

On October 31st at 7:35 a.m. New Rochelle Police Officers responded to a private residence on Locust Avenue to interview a victim of a past assault. This assault had occurred about 7:25 a.m. opposite 138 North Avenue. The victim, an adult female aged 53, had multiple lacerations to her head and face. She stated that while walking northbound on North Avenue near the intersection of Bonnefoy Place she was approached by an unknown short male approximately 35-40 years of age wearing a grey sweatshirt. The man was mumbling and began to strike her repeatedly in the head and face until she fell to the ground. The victim could walk home and call the police. She was transported to New Rochelle Montefiore Hospital where she was treated for a concussion, multiple head lacerations and received 6 staples.

While checking the area for the suspect, police determined that a second assault had occurred in the same area, but the victim left the area before the Police response.

Police described both assaults as random and violent in nature.

Alomari is scheduled for a felony hearing on January 6, 2021.

  1. Is this the son of United Gourmet deli?If so, he has a history like his father to disrespect women from the community such as talking perverted and such. But, most likely he will get a slap on the wrist since it’s not what you know in New Rochelle but who.
