New Rochelle Police Bust Mamaroneck Man with Cocaine, Handgun, and Child in Vehicle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Kevin Lopez, 35, of Mamaroneck was arrested by New Rochelle Police and charged with Possession of a Forged Instrument Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon Second Degree-Loaded Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance Third Degree, Endangering The Welfare of A Child and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation Second Degree.

On April 16th, at approximately 7:00 p.m., New Rochelle Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on Division Street of a vehicle that was displaying a fraudulent temporary tag. After Lopez was arrested for the fraudulent tag and a suspended license, an inventory search of the vehicle revealed a loaded Taurus 9 mm semi-automatic handgun underneath the driver seat and cocaine in the center console.

In the vehicle was Lopez’ son.
