Pair Wanted for Armed Robberies Nabbed After Crash Following Police Chase in Rye

RYE, NY — Two people were arrested following a police chase resulting in a vehicle crash.

Khalil Foster, 21, of the Bronx and a Juvenile, 17, of the Bronx were arrested and charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property – 4th and Criminal Mischief – 3rd.

On April 21, 2021, the department was advised of a stolen vehicle passing a stationary camera on the border of Port Chester. A City of Rye Police Officer observed the vehicle and attempted to stop it. A pursuit ensued resulting in the vehicle crashing near Stuyvesant Avenue and Old Milton Road.

One subject was immediately captured, the second was spotted by an alert resident that observed the suspicious party on her property. Both subjects were wanted for two armed robberies in other jurisdictions. The individuals were processed and released from Rye Police Headquarters.

Rye Police are advising residents to remove all valuables from your car at night, lock the car, take keys or fob inside. Report any suspicious persons or vehicles, do not confront them and call the police right away.
