Mamaroneck Police Nab Suspect in Armed Robbery of a Cab Driver

MAMARONECK, NY — Eduardo Martinez, aged 22, of Mamaroneck was arrested by Village of Mamaroneck Police on June 11 and charged with Robbery 1st, a B Felony.

The arrest was the result of a successful investigation by the Investigations Division.

On June 3rd, 2021 officers responded to a report at 8:35 p.m. of an armed robbery in the recent past on Cooper Avenue. A cab driver reported a man engaged his cab and robbed him. Police declined to identify the type of weapon involved.

The suspect was placed under arrest on June 11. Martinez was arraigned in the Village of Mamaroneck Court and released on $5,000.00 cash bail with a return date of June 17.
