New Rochelle Public Library Kicks Off In-Person Summer Programs for Children

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Public Library’s 2021 Summer Programs for Children kicked off on Tuesday, July 6 with a week of activities for children of all ages. Programs took place twice a day at both the main branch of the New Rochelle Public Library, 1 Library Plaza, and The Huguenot Children’s Library, 794 North Avenue.

The free programs are offered as part of the “Tails and Tales” Summer Reading Challenge. Each day there is a special animal-themed program in the morning and a different themed program in the afternoon. Twice daily programs will continue at both locations on weekdays through August 20. Activities include animal-themed storytimes, art projects, music and movement, yoga fun with Budding Buddhas, building animal habitats with ArchforKids, and STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) activities and animal meet and greets led by educators from the Stamford Museum & Nature Center.
