NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Jesus Gonzalez, age 30, of Groves, Texas, was arrested last night and charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd degree.
On July 14th, at about 10:42 p.m., a traffic stop was conducted by New Rochelle Police Department Officers after they observed a vehicle pass through steady red lights at two different intersections. The vehicle was stopped by police near the corner of North Avenue and Lincoln Avenue.
The vehicle’s registration was found to be expired, and it was subsequently towed.
During an inventory search of the vehicle, a loaded 9 mm Beretta 92A1 handgun was found under the front passenger seat.
