HARRISON, NY — The Harrison Police Department issued a statement Monday reporting the recovery of the body of Fran Bailie under a bridge, a short distance from where the remains of her husband were found.

Bailie and her husband, Ken Bailie, were reported missing at 1:45 a.m. on September 2.

An intensive search led to an unoccupied vehicle on a guide rail, pinned against a utility pole at Lincoln Avenue and Brookside Way in Purchase. A body, later identified as Ken Bailie, was found a quarter mile from his vehicle on a creek bank.

The Blind Brook Creek surged beyond the creek banks and onto Lincoln Avenue, where the vehicle was located.

Assisting in the initial search was the Rye Brook Police Department, the Westchester County Police Aviation Unit, the New York State Police Underwater Recovery Team, a New York State Police canine unit, the Purchase Fire Department and the Harrison EMS.
