Three People Charged by New Rochelle Police for Loaded Handgun Following WCPD RTCC Alert

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Three people were arrested by New Rochelle Police today following an an alert from the Real Time Crime Center at Westchester County Police Headquarters.

Nasiem Lopez, 22 years of age, of White Plains, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree Loaded Firearm, and with a Warrant out of Pelham for Reckless Endangerment. Juan C. Mejia-Guizar, 31 years of age, of New Rochelle, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree – Loaded Firearm. Freddy Sandoval, 24 years of age, of New Rochelle, was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd degree – Loaded Firearm

On September 28th, 2021, at about 11:20am, New Rochelle Police Officers and Officers from the Real Time Crime Center at Westchester County Police Headquarters were notified that a wanted party was in a vehicle driving through the South Side of New Rochelle. New Rochelle Police Detectives located the vehicle and conducted a stop on Stephenson Boulevard. Further investigation led to Detectives finding a loaded 9mm handgun in the car and the arrest of all three occupants.
