New Rochelle Police Locate Missing Person Using Project LifeSaver

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle Police Officers located a missing person using a locator device from Project LifeSaver.

On September 28th, 2021, at about 5:54 a.m., a woman contacted New Rochelle Police stating her mother, who is elderly with dementia, had left their home and her whereabouts were unknown. The caller also said her mother is part of the Project LifeSaver program and was wearing her locator device.

New Rochelle Police Officers, who have special training in using Project LifeSaver equipment, were called to the scene to assist.

Shortly thereafter the missing woman was located, safe and in good health, on Webster Avenue. Officers returned the woman to her daughter at home without further incident.
