NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle Police are on the lookout for a brazen thief who stole more than 20 pairs of underwear from a store on North Avenue.

As the man attempted to leave the store he threatened to mace a store employee who attempted to stop the suspect.

The suspect left in a vehicle and there was a low speed pursuit by police which was quickly called off.

“The suspect pushed other cars with his car, which were not deemed ‘accidents’ since it was intentional,” said an NRPD Spokesperson.

The suspect will face robbery charges, because he threatened the use of mace, and criminal mischief for hitting the cars, said police.

The suspect got away.

The matter is under investigation.
