NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City of New Rochelle will present the Holiday Market at the New Rochelle Train Station from Friday, December 3rd through Sunday, December 12th weekdays from 2 pm to 8 pm and weekends from 12 pm to 8 pm.

The City and its partners — CLD, New Rochelle Chamber of Commerce and New Rochelle BID — will host around 20 vendors featuring festive gifts, crafts and products as the City continues to focus on highlighting and providing local entrepreneurs with diverse and creative business opportunities.

In addition to the selected vendors, the City will present daily festive attractions including giveaways, food samples, entertainment performances to mark the end of Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and more. Limited free parking will be available on the top of the train station parking garage throughout the market.

The Holiday Market will also serve as the third activation in the City’s ongoing campaign to energize residents and hear feedback relating to the Downtown Revitalization Initiative currently underway. New Rochelle residents will have the opportunity to provide valuable perspectives about the DRI projects and how they can contribute to the City’s future.

“The Holiday Market presents a great opportunity to support both local and MWBE entrepreneurs during this season,” said New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson. “We are excited to welcome residents and visitors to enjoy the holiday festivities and also contribute to our City’s bright future through the DRI.”

“New Rochelle is getting into both the holiday and entrepreneurial spirit by creating an outlet to highlight local goods and services, create opportunities for a diverse range of businesses while simultaneously providing an outlet for residents to support their City,” said New Rochelle District 4 Council Member Ivar Hyden.

After winning the Governor’s $10 million Downtown Revitalization Initiative award in 2018, the City has focused on six key projects that will revive the Lincoln Avenue Corridor and ensure the neighborhood benefits from adjacent redevelopment. The DRI will transform the corridor and connect it to the economic, cultural and social heartbeat of Downtown New Rochelle and provide equitable opportunities and connections to the transit-oriented downtown including its train station and proximity to NYC, a growing arts & culture scene, workforce development opportunities and other additional benefits.

The City of New Rochelle will also host one more community activation event during the holiday season on Thursday, December 9th for the Light the Night celebration at Lincoln Park.

Additional activations will be announced for 2022 in the near future, along with project updates around the DRI. For more information on the City of New Rochelle, visit ideallynewrochelle.com. For more information on the DRI and to provide project feedback, visit newrochelledri.com.
