New Rochelle Police Make Yet Another Gun-Related Arrest

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — After receiving a tip of a drug deal about to go down, New Rochelle Police arrested Arnaldo J. Rivera-Rodriguez, 29, of Camden, NJ, Fidel D. Rodriguez-Reynoso, 36, of the Bronx, NY and Raul Eduardo Rivera, 32, of Camden, NJ.

Police recovered a Loaded 9mm Taurus Handgun with 12 rounds of ammunition.

All three were charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon – 2nd Degree – Loaded Firearm, a D Felony and Unlawful Possession of Certain Feeding Devices (high capacity magazine), an A misdemeanor.

According to the Police Association of New Rochelle, the Special Investigations Unit has recovered 9 illegal firearms off the streets of New Rochelle since June.

On December 4th, 2021 at about 6:30pm, New Rochelle Police received information that a large drug transaction was about to take place in a vehicle on John St and that the suspects were armed with handguns. New Rochelle Police Detectives responded to conduct surveillance and did observe a vehicle fitting the description given by the caller. The vehicle was occupied by 3 males. New Rochelle Detectives cautiously approached the vehicle and did observe in plain view a 9MM Taurus handgun and an imitation style pistol in the vehicle. The occupants complied with directions from the police and were removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest without incident.
