Connecticut Man Facing DWI Charge After Repeatedly Punching Woman in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Brayan A. Escudero, 29, of Stamford, CT, is facing multiple criminal charges following an incident on the shoulder of I-95 in New Rochelle.

Escudero was determined to be intoxicated, transported to the NYSP Barracks in New Rochelle and charged with Assault — 3rd and Driving While Intoxicated, both Misdemeanors, after he refused to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content in his system

On December 4, 2021, at approximately 4:30 a.m., State Police responded to I-95 in the city of New Rochelle, for a report of a physical altercation occurring on the shoulder of the roadway. A preliminary investigation determined that Escudero was driving his vehicle northbound on I-95, when he and his female passenger were involved in an argument. It was reported that Escudero pulled over onto the shoulder, where the incident escalated, and he punched the female multiple times causing injuries.

The victim declined medical attention at the scene.

He was virtually arraigned before the City of New Rochelle Court and was Released on his Own Recognizance, and turned over to a sober third party.
