NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A Connecticut man blew a .27 on Friday afternoon following a traffic stop on I-95 in New Rochelle.
On February 25, 2022, at approximately 1:45 p.m., State Police stopped a vehicle on I-95 in the city of New Rochelle, for a vehicle and traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle, Jesus M. Lopez Tapia, was found to be intoxicated. He was taken into custody, transported and processed at SP New Rochelle where his blood alcohol content was determined to be 0.27%.
Lopez Tapia was charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated; an Unclassified Misdemeanor.
He was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of New Rochelle Court on March 14, 2022, at 9:30 a.m.
