State Police Seek Public’s Help to ID Driver Who Struck Trooper in Port Chester

Port Chester, NY (September 13, 2022) — State police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle that struck a state trooper Thursday evening on I-95 in Westchester.

Police narrative:

On September 8, 2022, at approximately 8:46 p.m., a marked State Police car was parked on the shoulder of I-95, southbound, in the area of mile marker 14.9. An unknown vehicle traveling southbound, struck a State Trooper who was walking back to the patrol car after removing debris from the roadway. The Trooper was injured and transported to the hospital for treatment. The vehicle failed to stop and continued south on I-95.

The Trooper was treated for multiple injuries at Westchester Medical Center and has since been released, continuing recovery at home.
