Manhunt After Four Armed Men Bailout of Car Following Pursuit in North End of New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (December 29, 2022) — Police Search Teams from New Rochelle Police Department and Westchester County Police Department are searching for a fourth armed suspect after a pursuit that ended with four armed suspects bailing out of a vehicle on Bon Air Avenue off North Avenue.

Westchester County PD Aviation Unit is circulating above the area. 2 NRPD K-9 Units deployed. The search area has expanded to the Westchester County Nature Study Woods.

UPDATE 3:15 PM: Right front tire of suspect vehicle blown out, possibly with a spike strip, awaiting information from police. Vehicle is an Audi A7 Quattro 3.0 T with New Jersey tags C51 MHX but with a rear license plate holder from Valenti Audi in Watertown, CT and no license plate on the front of the vehicle.

WCPD Bloodhound deployed. Total of 3 dogs on scene. And yes, that is Mayor Noam Bramson in his Honda SUV approaching the scene from Bon Air onto North Avenue.

UPDATE 5:30 PM: NRPD is lead agency. At this time. No information is being released as it is an active investigation. The full-blown search was called off about 4:30 PM but WCPD and NRPD continue to canvass the neighborhood.
