CT Woman Arrested for DWI, Resisting Arrest on the Thruway

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (April 10, 2023) — A Connecticut woman was arrested after actively resisting arrest following a traffic stop for DWI.

Police narrative: On March 31, 2023, at approximately 10:20 pm. New York State Police stopped a vehicle on I-95 in the City of New Rochelle for a vehicle and traffic violation. The driver was found to be intoxicated. Prior to being taken into custody, the driver actively resisted arrest. Troopers eventually arrested the driver and transported her to SP New Rochelle where she refused to give a breath sample.

Carmen C. Mulero, 48, of Stamford, CT was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Governmental Administration – 2, all Misdemeanors.

Mulero was turned over to a sober third party and released on appearance tickets returnable to the City of New Rochelle Court on April 28, 2023 at 9:30 am.
