Rye Police: Port Chester Man Menaces Co-Worker with a Knife in a Cemetery

RYE, NY (August 11, 2023) — A verbal dispute between co-workers in a cemetery escalated, resulting in the arrest of one man after he pulled a knife, police say.

On July 18, 2023, around 11:50 a.m., Officers responded to the Greenwood Union Cemetery located at 215 North Street on a report of a dispute between employees working on the grounds. An investigation determined Allain and the victim were in a verbal altercation regarding work being done on the grounds. The verbal altercation escalated leading Allain to approach the victim with a knife in an aggressive manner. The victim informed his supervisor of the incident and the Rye Police were called. The victim was not injured during this altercation by the knife.

Arrest & Charges:

Clodomiro Jesus Allain, 71, of Port Chester, NY

  • Menacing – 2, a class A misdemeanor

Allain was transported to Rye Police Headquarters for processing. He was arraigned in Rye City Court where he was released on his own recognizance.
