Former New Rochelle PBA President Chris Greco Arraigned on Grand Larceny in New Rochelle City Court

NEW ROCHELLE, NY (September 26, 2023) — Chris Greco was arraigned today before Judge Matthew J. Costa in New Rochelle City Court on one count of Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree (the value of the stolen property is between $3,000 and $50,000), a D Felony.

Between January 1, 2018, and May 31, 2023, the retired NRPD Detective stole approximately $24,000 from Christopher’s Voice, Inc. and used the money for his own personal purposes. Christopher’s Voice is a tax-exempt organization named for Greco’s autistic son.

The DA’s office has yet to say publicly how Greco spent the $24,000.

Greco was arrested on Thursday September 21, 2023 on a charge of Grand Larceny in the 4th Degree. He was issued a Desk Appearance ticket for September 26, 2023. Between his arrest on Thursday and his arraignment on Tuesday, the charge against Greco was upgraded to Grand Larceny in the 3rd Degree If convicted, Greco is facing up to seven years in prison.

Greco is represented by New Rochelle PBA lawyer Andrew Quinn.

Assistant District Attorney Renée Welker Hassel of the Public Integrity & Law Enforcement Integrity Bureau is representing the People.

Greco was ROR’d. His New York State pistol permit was not suspended and he was not required to surrender any guns in his possession to the New Rochelle Police Department.

Greco is due back in court on October 25th.
