NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 24, 2025) — New Rochelle Parks & Recreation is launching Happy Hikers, a community program offering free local hikes led by trained guides from L.L. Bean to help residents exercise, socialize and explore nature right in their city backyard.
The initiative welcomes all levels of hiking experience and features organized group outings on scenic trails. Upcoming free local hikes include the Leatherstocking Trail on Oct. 25, Ward Acres Trail on Nov. 29 and Nature Study Woods Trail in 2026.
