NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (Dec. 4, 2025) — The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle distributed 781 meals, food bags and vouchers to families across the city this Thanksgiving season, delivering food and support through multiple school sites, clubhouses and community partnerships.

The outreach included 300 food vouchers provided through the New York State Learning and Enrichment Afterschool Program Supports (LEAPS) Grant to the Remington Clubhouse and Columbus and Jefferson Elementary Schools.

Another 125 bags of fresh produce came from Montefiore Health System and went to families at the Mascaro and Remington Clubhouses.

The club served 150 holiday meals at a Remington Clubhouse Friendsgiving event supported by Remington Families, Remington Men’s AUX and Grandpas United.

An additional 100 food bags were distributed in partnership with Klinic Kids of New City, N.Y.

At Albert Leonard Middle School, 106 meals featuring roasted chicken, fried chicken, baked macaroni and cheese, candied yams, stuffing and desserts were served family-style.

“Every bag, every meal and every act of kindness represent the vital importance of caring, comforting and compassion,” said Becky Mazzanobile, CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle. “At the Boys & Girls Club, we are most thankful for our youths. Their energy, kindness, curiosity and achievement inspire everything we do.”

Club members also held a Multicultural Potluck at William B. Ward Elementary School and a Thankful Tuesday arts-and-crafts event at George M. Davis Elementary School.

The organization participated in the 61st Annual New Rochelle Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 22.

For 95 years, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has served more than 10,000 youths annually at 12 school sites and two clubhouses.

“Our entire Boys & Girls Club is grateful for the people who make our Club so special,” Mazzanobile said. “This includes our incredible staff… We’re also thankful for our Club donors and supporters… And we certainly are appreciative of our amazing parents and caregivers.”
