Elmsford Police Department officers responded to the Days Inn Motel at 25 Valley Ave. around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a deceased female inside one of the rooms. Police secured the scene and opened a homicide investigation.
The victim was identified as Rose Philippe, 32.
Surveillance video showed a male fleeing the motel in a vehicle with a young child shortly before officers arrived.
