NEW ROCHELLE, NY (February 12, 2026) — The opening reception for “A Couple of Visions” took place last night at the NRCA Rotunda Gallery, an exhibit timed for Valentine’s Day that salutes New Rochelle’s first couple of art, Scott Seaboldt and Stacy Miller.
Curated by Erika Hibbert, the show features works in oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic, ink and raku-glazed ceramic. Both artists experiment with unconventional materials — “painting” with rust or spices — and use nontraditional tools such as sticks, toothbrushes and chopsticks to move paint or create textural effects.
A glass cabinet in the gallery displays studio artifacts to reveal aspects of the artists’ process. Visitors are invited to write comments and reactions on Post-it notes and affix them to the wall, fostering a dialogue between the artists and viewers.
The NRCA Rotunda Gallery is located at City Hall, 515 North Avenue in New Rochelle. The exhibit is open during business hours through March 27.
