WHITE PLAINS, NY (March 9, 2026) — The Neiman Marcus store at The Westchester mall in White Plains is slated to close as part of a nationwide restructuring plan by Saks Global, the parent company of Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

Saks Global announced March 6 that it will close 12 Saks Fifth Avenue stores and three Neiman Marcus locations across the United States in an effort to cut costs and focus on more profitable markets.

The White Plains Neiman Marcus location at The Westchester is among the stores scheduled to close.

The closures come after Saks Global filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in January 2026 while carrying approximately $2.65 billion in debt following its 2024 acquisition of Neiman Marcus.

The company said the store closures are part of a broader effort to streamline its retail footprint and concentrate resources on higher-performing locations.

Saks Global operates several luxury retail brands, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman.

The Westchester mall, which opened in 1995, has long served as a luxury shopping destination in downtown White Plains.

The Neiman Marcus store at The Westchester is expected to close as part of the company’s restructuring plan announced March 6.
