The Village of Mamaroneck Police Department said it received a report at approximately 1:15 p.m. on March 13, 2026, from a 15-year-old Mamaroneck High School student who stated that he had been assaulted by an older classmate.

According to police, the victim reported that he was struck multiple times and choked with his own necklace during the altercation.

Investigating officers observed that the victim had lacerations, bruising and pattern injuries consistent with being choked with the necklace. Officers requested EMS, and the victim was transported to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation and treatment.
