Westchester County to Launch 2026 Cultural Heritage Celebrations

ARDSLEY, NY (April 8, 2026) — Westchester County Parks will inaugurate its 2026 Cultural Heritage Celebrations with the 47th Annual Polish Heritage Festival on May 31 at Kensico Dam Plaza in Valhalla.

The festival, running from noon to 6 p.m., will feature Polish-American cultural exhibits, polka music, kids’ activities, and vendors offering authentic Polish crafts and food. Attendees can also look forward to seeing the 2026 Polish Parade Marshal, Miss Polonia, and Junior Miss Polonia.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said, “Westchester County is made up of a rich variety of cultures that shape who we are as a community. Our Cultural Heritage Festivals offer a meaningful opportunity to come together and celebrate those traditions, histories, and creative expressions from around the world.”

The festivals will take place rain or shine, with informal seating. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or folding chairs, but coolers are not allowed. Admission is $5 for adults, while children 14 and under can attend for free.

The 2026 schedule includes Asian-American on June 6, Albanian on June 7, Irish on June 27, African-American on June 28, Hispanic on July 12, Italian on July 26, Heritage of India on August 2, Jewish on August 16, Muslim Heritage on August 23, and Arab-American on September 13.

Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor said, “Our Cultural Heritage Festivals offer something for everyone, from vibrant dance and traditional costumes to hands-on arts and crafts and live music.”

Please note that the Bronx River Parkway will be closed for Bicycle Sundays during some festival dates.
