MAMARONECK, NY (April 20, 2026) — Rye Neck High School was recognized in August 2025 for “exceptional academic performance, highly effective teaching practices, and strong leadership,” according to a recent post by Rye Neck Schools, as the district highlighted the designation and marked it with a student-led day of service and school events.

The district said the recognition reflects criteria associated with national school excellence designations, which honor schools for high academic performance and effective instructional practices.

To celebrate, the school community “came together yesterday for a day focused on giving back and honoring what makes Rye Neck such a special place,” the district said.

The day began with the school’s first “Panthers with Purpose” volunteer event, where more than 100 students supported nine locations across the county, “bringing our commitment to building caring communities to life,” according to the post.

The celebration concluded with a Student-Senate sponsored spring sports pep rally for students in grades 6–12, featuring school spirit activities.

The district said photos from the volunteer event will be released next week.
