NEW ROCHELLE, NY (May 5, 2025) — The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle honored community champions and youth leaders at its Annual Golf and Gala event held on May 5. The gala celebrated a milestone, having served over 12,100 youths during 2025.
The event saw over 200 attendees, with more than 80 golfers participating in the annual golf outing that preceded the gala. Notable honorees included Westchester County legislator Terry Clements and Keith Watkins, Facilities Director for the City School District of New Rochelle.
Although unable to attend, National Baseball Hall of Famer and New York Yankees legend Mariano Rivera and his wife Clara were among those honored. The gala also featured performances by members of the Boys & Girls Club’s Remington Clubhouse, led by Director Yolanda Roberson.
Among the awardees were Sean Merlo, who received the Sparkle Award, and Leslie Rodriguez, named the 2026 Youth of the Year.
