WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (May 28, 2026) — An Elmsford woman was convicted on all counts for menacing her ex-girlfriend’s family with a loaded gun and forcing her way into their apartment in December 2024, according to Westchester County District Attorney Susan Cacace.
Brooke Manderson, 36, was found guilty by a Westchester County jury on multiple charges, including three counts of burglary in the first degree, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, and other related charges. She faces up to 25 years in prison when sentenced by Judge Robert Prisco on June 30.
District Attorney Cacace praised the victims and law enforcement, stating, “The defendant subjected her former girlfriend and the woman’s family to an unrelenting campaign of harassment… Thanks to the jury’s 10-count guilty verdict, this campaign has met its end.”
On Dec. 28, 2024, Manderson went to her ex-girlfriend’s family’s apartment, demanding to see her. She forced her way into the building, brandished a loaded 9mm Luger semi-automatic pistol, and threatened the family members. The police apprehended her after she discarded the weapon.
The case was investigated by the Port Chester Police Department with assistance from the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Police. It was prosecuted by Domestic Violence Deputy Bureau Chief Janelle Armentano and Assistant District Attorney Jessica Soares.
