NEW ROCHELLE, NY (August 18, 2026) — When a FOIL search produces 20,000, 16,000 or nearly 11,000 records, the number itself does not prove stonewalling. What matters is what happens next: whether government works with the requester to narrow the search and produce useful records while they still matter — or turns the numbers into another reason for delay.
