HARRISON, NY (September 20, 2026) — Rye firefighters provided mutual aid Saturday morning at a residential structure fire in Harrison, assisting with a second hose line and overhaul operations.
The Rye Fire Department FAST Team was dispatched to Harrison at approximately 10:09 a.m. Saturday for the residential fire.

Upon arrival, Rye firefighters were assigned to place a second hose line into operation and assist with overhaul.
Rye crews operated at the scene for approximately an hour and a half before being released and returning to the city.
The response came as part of the mutual-aid partnerships maintained among area fire departments. Later Saturday, neighboring departments assisted Rye firefighters at a separate fire at Playland.
“This continued partnership is both given and received, and we are grateful for the support of our neighboring fire departments and public safety agencies,” the Rye Fire Department said.
