MAMARONECK, NY (October 6, 2026) — Erol Kodjo Brentu, a 36-year-old Brooklyn resident, was arrested in the Village of Mamaroneck on charges related to identity theft.
The arrest took place on Oct. 6 at 4:38 p.m., following an incident reported on Sept. 22 in Cortlandt, according to New York State Police. The charges include a felony count of identity theft in the first degree for assuming another’s identity to obtain goods valued over $2,000, and a misdemeanor count of unlawful possession of personal identification in the third degree to further the commission of a crime.
Brentu is currently undergoing central arraignment.
