NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. (August 31, 2026) — The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle has celebrated the successful completion of several educational programs funded by PepsiCo. These initiatives aimed to teach young participants about cooking, gardening, and environmental awareness.
For three weeks, children in grades 3 to 5 participated in workshops centered around healthy cooking, garden education, and the butterfly life cycle. “Together, these three programs formed a cohesive learning experience,” said Becky Mazzanobile, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle.
At the Remington Clubhouse, Chef Georges Aines led a Healthy Cooking Workshop, where participants made dishes like smoothies and vegetable kebabs. “The children had a wonderful time,” said Yolanda Roberson, Director of the Remington Clubhouse.
Next door, at the Lincoln Park Conservancy, children engaged in garden education. Linda Tarrant-Reid, founder of the conservancy, emphasized the empowerment of growing food. Participants also took part in a Butterfly Life Cycle Program led by Keystone Teen members.
The Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle, established 96 years ago, remains a vital part of the community, providing services to over 12,100 youths annually.
