NEW ROCHELLE, NY (October 27, 2026) — Salesian High School in New Rochelle successfully raised $6,450 for its student scholarship program during the Mazda Be Moved Drive event on Saturday.
Hosted by Mazda of New Rochelle, the event marked the program’s first appearance in New York. Community members participated in over 120 free test drives at the school’s main campus, generating funds to expand educational opportunities for students.
The Mazda Be Moved Drive Program donates $50 to participating schools for every qualifying test drive, with a cap of $10,000 per event. “We’re grateful to partner with Mazda of New Rochelle through the Be Moved Drive Program to help expand access to Salesian education,” said Anthony Giaccone, Director of Advancement at Salesian High School. “The funds raised through this event will support our student scholarship program, helping make it possible for more students to benefit from the education, community and opportunities Salesian provides.”
Georgia Anagnostopoulos, General Manager of Mazda of New Rochelle, added, “Supporting young people in our community is incredibly important to us, and we’re proud to support Salesian’s student scholarship program with this donation.”
Launched last year, the Be Moved Drive Program has expanded to reach more schools, aiming to uplift communities and inspire people to do more of what moves them.
