Yesterday as I drove past Avalon on Memorial Highway there were a lot of fire trucks parked in front on the building. When I checked today I was told it was an elevator alarm that was triggered by high winds.
Winds created by high rise buildings have been brought up at many City Council meetings. One concilman even offered a suggestion to install wind alleviation fixtures on these high rise buildings.But the wind problem in downtown has not been addressed.
