New Rochelle Opera Performs at Hudson Park

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

Tonight the New Rochelle Opera, sponsored by Metro Med, performed selections of Turandot among other pieces at the bandshell in Hudson Park. It was a nice sized crowd of families, seniors and couples. Several people running for office were shaking hands through the crowds and handing out customized fans and leaflets. A snack bar did a busy enough business selling sodas and snacks, plus more. The music was lovely, particularly the first baritone.

The foreboding clouds moved in quickly and right before the intermission the weather began to look worrisome. People began to pack up as the singers finished up a few pieces.

Here is a link to the flyer for future free Wednesday night concerts in Hudson Park.

Thank you New Rochelle Council on the Arts, the New Rochelle Department of Parks and Recreation, Webster Bank and Metro Med for these concerts. It is a great way to enjoy summer outdoors in New Rochelle.
