FEVANGAPALOOZA: G-29 Truck, Exhibit A in DA Investigation of New Rochelle DPW’s Richard Fevang, Back in Service

Written By: Robert Cox

Truck G-29 has become a bit of celebrity in certain circles of New Rochelle as the truck that appears likely to bring down the widely reviled Fleet Manager Richard Fevang. Word went out recently that G-29 was going back into the line. Talk of the Sound has been camera-ready ever since and today was the day we captured video. In an ironic moment, the elusive G-29 truck came rumbling down North Avenue in front of City Hall shortly after noon then made a right turn on to Lincoln Avenue. Racing ahead, your intrepid reporter got in position and shot the following footage.

While this might not mean anything — and a discussion with the Westchester DA’s office suggests that the truck is back in service is of no concern to them either way — it cannot be a good sign. There are two options: (A) the DA is taking a pass on Fevang (again) or (B) they have what they need and the net is closing. Given the mountain of evidence delivered to the DA by Council Member Lou Trangucci over the summer we are going to go with option B. Start preparing now for the Frog March Parade at 224 Main Street and a very Merry Christmas for the many honest workers in the DPW and the suffering tax payers who have been funding the Fevangapalooza Festival all these many years.

Talk of the Sound was the first to report that the DA was investigating Fevang over phony invoices submitted for G-29.

that smart , that he can avoid an indictment & prosecution not once, but twice from the DA’S office ? They used to say ” you can indict a ham sandwich”. Just can’t indict a fleet “manager”,LOL. Hopefully if the “allegations ” are true & he did do anything, he had to spend whatever he managed to take on lawyers.
