The Events for this week:

Head over to the American Legion tonight for a meeting of the South End Civic League. Get the updates on the City and the armory from councilmembers Lou Trangucci and Al Tarantino, tonight at 7 pm.

Tomorrow at 6, the New Rochelle Public Library hosts “Fabric of America” – the opening exhibit celebrating “Quilting Our History featuring the Pelham Quilters”

The on Wednesday, the Christopher Murphy Auditorium hosts an Evening with an Astronaut. The Iona College Physics Department are delighted to welcome NASA astronaut and Hudson Valley native son Ron Garan home to New York for a presentation and discussion about his journey of 65,340,224 miles in 2,624 orbits around the Earth during the 164 days he was in space as a crewmember onboard the International Space Station. 7 PM

As always, live acoustic music from the Post Road Alehouse this and every Friday

The Hudson Bait & Tackle shop open for the season this weekend, so stock up on all your fishing needs.

And finally, Saturday is St Patrick’s Day, and where but an Irish Pub would you want to spend your holiday? Head over to CJ Cullens on Saturday for the full St. Paddy’s Day treatment.
