Tire Thieves Rob Honda Dealership on Main Street in New Rochelle

NewRochelleHondaUsedParkingLotDozens of tires were stolen from the Main Street Honda parking lot at 200 E. Main Street this morning.

18 cars were placed on cinder blocks and the tires removed. The cars were primarily Hondas and Acuras along with a Toyotas. Also stolen was a box truck and two bumper covers from a Honda Civic.

The theft took place overnight, sometime between 5 p.m. and 5:30 a.m., according to New Rochelle Police Detective Captain Joseph Schaller. The thieves gained access to the property by cutting a whole in a chain link fence. The lot has been targeted before. In January, a hole was made in the window of the dealership which police believe may have been a bullet hole.

The parking lot is behind the Honda User Car dealership near Lefevre Lane, the road that leads to Five Islands Park in New Rochelle, NY.
