New Rochelle Schools 2 Hour Delayed Opening Thursday Due to Snow Storm

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

UPDATE: Same for Friday.

The New Rochelle Board of Education issued the following statement:

Due to the inclement weather forecast for this evening and into the morning, all schools and offices will be operating on a two hour delayed opening schedule for tomorrow, Thursday, March 7th. Schools and offices will open two hours later than their normally scheduled time. In addition, AM PreK at Barnard School is cancelled.

All students who ride on Mile Square and First Student buses should report to their bus stops two hours later than their regularly scheduled pick-up time. Unfortunately, Bee Line buses will not be able to accommodate the delayed schedule in the morning. BeeLine buses will be available for dismissal in the afternoon.

Be safe and thank you for your patience and understanding.

The New Rochelle Board of Education only approved 2 hour delayed openings in the past two years. This would the first time they have invoked the policy.

  1. Two hour delay for what?
Has any City School District of New Rochelle decision maker looked outside their window? Wait… none of them live in New Rochelle. Never mind… we get what we deserve.
