Fishkill, NY – On August 5, 2014, the State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Lea Vasquez, 28 years old, of New Rochelle, NY, pursuant to an investigation conducted by the New York State Police and the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision – Inspector Generals Office.
Vasquez was charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filing 1st Degree and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree. Vasquez was suspended by NYS DOCCS – as a Correction Officer at the Downstate Correctional Facility, where she allegedly submitted a false instrument in regards to a workers’ compensation claim.
Vasquez was arraigned in the Town of Fishkill Court and released on her own recognizance with a return court date of September 2, 2014.
