Sept. 27 Drug Take-Back Day

What’s in your medicine cabinet?

Even if you do know the answer to that question, it’s time to take stock and clean out. “Misuse of prescription and over-the-counter medications is a leading contributor to addiction and death among young people,” says Susan Ohanesian, Deputy Director of Mental Health & Substance Use Services for The Guidance Center of Westchester. “Safely disposing of unused and expired medications is the first step in keeping them out of the hands of young people.“

The Guidance Center of Westchester is proud to support Larchmont Mamaroneck RADAR and the Larchmont Police in a Drug Take-Back Day from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 27th at Larchmont Village Hall (120 Larchmont Ave.). Turn in all unused or expired medications.

Drug Take Back Day is an initiative of the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA). You can locate a collection site near you by visiting the DEA’s website.
