NEW ROCHELLE, NY – Fresh off its first Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship last year, The College of New Rochelle basketball team will look to defend its title with a competitive 2014-15 schedule.
The schedule features the Blue Angels at home nine times this season, including four of their six conference games.
The new season begins November 15-16 with a trip to Baltimore, Maryland for the Women’s College Tip-Off Tournament hosted by Notre Dame of Maryland University. The Blue Angels will face Cedar Crest College on day one, and then will take on either Bryn Mawr College or the host Gators the final day of the tournament.
That will be followed by the Blue Angels home opener against the College of Mount Saint Vincent on November 21. Prior to the start of the game, the 2014 HVIAC Tournament Championship banner will be unveiled. The team will then face Pratt Institute before heading to their second and final tournament of the season, the Dr. Betty Shabazz Tournament hosted by Medgar Evers College on November 29-30, where CNR will look to repeat as tournament champions.
The remainder of the season will feature a mix of both home and away games including both conference and non-conference play before wrapping up the regular season with two conference opponents Yeshiva University and St. Joseph’s Brooklyn.
This year’s HVIAC tournament will be held at Albany College of Pharmacy in Albany, NY on February 21-22.
