New Rochelle DPW Worker Has Rough Week, Arrested Twice in One Day

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — One New Rochelle City employee had a rough week during the final days of October, Talk of the Sound has learned.

James Riley, 26, a New Rochelle Public Works hourly employee was arrested twice in the same day in October just two days following an incident in which he allegedly got into an altercation with local landscapers.

Riley who, according to one source, fought landscapers while working on Monday October 27th then got high on PCP on October 29th, broke windows, got arrested for Disorderly Conduct, stripped naked in a holding cell at police headquarters, amused himself in a certain way and/or flooded his cell by causing a toilet to overflow.

Riley was charged with Criminal Mischief – 4th and Obstruction of Govenmental Administration – 2nd.

Police tranferred Riley to the Westchester County jail in Valhalla, NY.
