Pelham, NY — The reunion committee for Saint Catharine’s Grammar School (Pelham, NY) is currently trying to locate a former classmate for an upcoming reunion for the Class of ’66. They thought perhaps Talk of the Sound readers might be able to help.
The classmate is Mary Jane Wilkins, now 62 years old and the daughter of Artie Wilkins, a former Iona basketball coach from 1947-1967.
Wilkins coached the freshman college squad and possibly worked some years as the Iona Prep coach. He passed away in 1967 and was inducted into Iona’s Hall of Fame in 1986.
The committee says inquiries through Iona College have provided no further information. The only other information I have is that they lived in Mount Vernon NY during at least the ’50s and ’60s. Mr. Wilkins was married and had three children with his wife Patricia. Besides Mary Jane, I believe the other childrens’ names were Arthur Jr and Thomas.

UPDATE: Mary Jane has been located! She contacted Talk of the Sound as word went out that she was being sought. Her invitation to the reunion is on its way! Her brother is Richard, not Thomas. For those who helped make the connections, good team work!
