NEW ROCHELLE, NY –Senior Tayler Fisher (Wilmington, DE) led the way for the College of New Rochelle Cross Country team as they competed in the College of Staten Island Invitational on Sunday.
Fisher paced the Blue Angels with a 46th place finish in a field of nearly 120 runners from 13 different schools. Suffolk County Community College finished atop the team totals with 28 points. The hosts finished a distant 2nd place with 109 points. New Rochelle placed 12th.
Fisher finished with a time of 26:17. The next Blue Angel to cross the tape was senior Vyanna Todd (Bronx, NY). She completed the race in a time of 30:51.
CNR will be back out on the course this Saturday when they upstate to Bard College. The Women’s race begins at 1:00pm.
