NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Two members of the College of New Rochelle Swim Team made their season debut at the Sarah Lawrence Sprint Invitational Saturday afternoon. The meet was attended by six other colleges, including the hosts.
Sophomore Angela Avalos (Albany, NY) started off her 2015/16 season by putting up personal best times in both the 50yd backstroke and the 100yd backstroke. While senior Claudia Benitez (White Plains, NY) swam 4 events on her way to four “top 6” finishes and a personal best time in the 100yd Individual Medley. Claudia also competed in the 200 Individual Medley, 50yd Breaststroke and 100yd Breaststroke.
The team will enter their regular meet accruals on Tuesday night versus St Joe’s LI and Old Westbury at Old Westbury. First swim is at 6pm.
